Kwame J. Manley is Global Chair of the Investigations and White Collar Defense Group at Paul Hastings LLP, a law firm in Washington, D.C. His legal practice focuses on white-collar criminal defense, internal corporate investigations, and complex civil litigation. A former federal prosecutor, Mr. Manley defends individuals and companies before various agencies, including the United States Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, and other federal and state agencies. His experience includes defending matters involving alleged U.S. sanctions violations, bank fraud, money laundering, and corruption under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the False Claims Act (FCA). Mr. Manley has particular experience representing corporations and senior executives in significant DOJ matters. His most recent high profile matter was representing a key government witness in the impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump.
Mr. Manley was recently listed in the Washingtonian Magazine’s 2020 Best Lawyers in DC – White Collar category. Mr. Manley lives in McLean, Virginia with his wife of 20+ years, Monique McCloud-Manley, and their 15-year-old daughter McKenzie and 11-year-old son Justin.
